EQL is scheduled to be released on July 28th for everyone to play!

The base game will cost $19.99, which includes a one-month subscription. If you preorder, your first month will start on the launch date of the game. After the first month, a recurring monthly subscription is required and will cost $9.99.  EQL is a live service game, and we will be releasing new content, including DLC and expansions. Players can cancel their subscriptions at any time through their online account.

Everyone who pre-orders EQL will receive:

  • Exclusive access to the Pre-Order Beta, which is scheduled to begin on July 1st
  • The ability to reserve your character name for the game after it launches
  • Exclusive in-game title: “the Legend”

The Pre-Order Beta will end on July 21st and your Pre-Order Beta character progression will not carry over to the retail release.

While EQ Legends is set in the world of Norrath, it will evolve separately with its own lore and timeline. While we do intend to release Kunark in the first expansion, EQ Legends will have its own spin on classic zones and will also add never-seen-before content.

EQ Legends is currently a PC only game available via download on www.everquestlegends.com.

Name reservations will be available when logging into the preorder beta, currently scheduled between July 1 and July 21, 2026. The name you choose will be reserved until January 1, 2027. This will give you the ability to create a character(s) with the reserved name on any number of EQ Legends world servers after the game launches and until January 1, 2027. Once you’ve created a character with the reserved name on a given server, if you later delete that character then the name will become available to other players on the same server.

About the Game

EQL has been designed from the ground up to appeal to players who enjoy playing their games solo and/or casually. While groups (up to 4 players) and raids (up to 8 players) are available, the entire game can be played, enjoyed, and experienced solo if that’s your playstyle.

In keeping with this approach to the game, EQL provides players with the ability to create immensely powerful characters by, among other things, selecting up to three active different classes per character (for example, you can make a rogue/paladin/wizard) and utilizing new ways to upgrade weapons and armor. As you level up and improve your gear in EQL, you will eventually gain the ability to take on the most difficult game content, whether alone or with a small group of friends.

Whether you’re an existing EverQuest player, a former player, or a new player that has never experienced the world of Norrath, EverQuest Legends offers the opportunity to enjoy everything classic EverQuest has to offer, plus a lot more! At launch, EQL will feature the continents of Antonica, Faydwer, and Odus, and all of the EverQuest playable races (including Iksar, Frogloks, and Kerran), all featured in the original EverQuest art style, including the classic graphics, zones, spell effects, loot, and music … plus more than a few new surprises!
